Frequently Asked Questions

Do I really need therapy?

Many people reach out because something does not feel right, even if things look fine on the outside. Therapy is not only for crisis. It is a place to understand yourself better, change unhelpful patterns, and feel more grounded and connected in your life.

How do I know if you are the right therapist for me?

The best way to find out is through a brief consultation. This gives us a chance to talk about what you are dealing with and see if working together feels like a good fit. Feeling comfortable and understood is just as important as credentials.

What happens in the first session?

The first session is a chance to talk about what brought you to therapy and what you would like to change. We will also review your history and goals. There is no pressure to share anything you are not ready to discuss.

How long does therapy usually last?

Some people come for a few months, while others choose to stay longer. The length of therapy depends on your goals, what you are working through, and how you would like to use the space. We will check in along the way to make sure it is still helpful.

Do you take insurance?

I am an out of network provider. Many clients choose to use out of network benefits for partial reimbursement. I can provide a superbill that you can submit to your insurance company.

What is your fee?

My fee is $140 per 50 minute session. I also reserve a limited number of reduced fee spots based on financial need.

Do you offer in person and online sessions?

Yes. I offer in person therapy in South Denver and secure telehealth throughout Colorado.

What if I am not sure what my problem is?

That is very common. You do not need to have a clear label or diagnosis to start therapy. We can work together to understand what is going on and what might help.

Who do you work with?

I specialize in working with adult men and teen boys. You can learn more about Therapy for Men in Denver or Therapy for Teen Boys in Denver on those pages.

How do I get started?

The first step is a free 15-minute consultation. We can briefly talk about what you are dealing with and decide whether moving forward together feels right.
