About Me
Hi, I’m Mike. I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor Candidate (LPCC) based in South Denver, and I work with teens and adults navigating the complexities of life, identity, relationships, and emotional health.
In therapy, I aim to create a space where you feel genuinely heard, respected, and not rushed. I bring a steady, grounded presence, along with curiosity, accountability, and just enough humor to make room for both the hard work and the humanity in this process.
My approach is person-centered and relational, with roots in psychodynamic, narrative, cognitive-behavioral (CBT), and trauma-informed frameworks. I often work through an attachment lens, meaning I believe early experiences shape how we connect with others and how we view ourselves today. Whether we’re unpacking patterns, processing difficult emotions, or navigating current stressors, I’m here to walk alongside you, not to “fix” you, but to support your growth, clarity, and resilience.
Who I Work With
I specialize in working with:
Young adults and teens managing depression, OCD, ADHD, anxiety, and life transitions
Men navigating identity, emotion, relationships, and expectations
Those who feel stuck in patterns they don’t fully understand yet
Parents, partners, and family pairs seeking better communication and connection
Clients exploring faith, spirituality, and meaning-making
I offer individual, couples, and family sessions (including diads like father-son work or parent coaching with teens).
Background & Credentials
Before becoming a therapist, I spent several years coaching, mentoring, and leading teams in both nonprofit and for-profit settings. That background shaped how I approach counseling today, with practical tools, honest feedback, and deep respect for your lived experience.
I earned my M.A. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Denver Seminary and am a registered LPCC in Colorado.
A Little About Me
Outside the therapy room, I’m often on a trail run, enjoying time with my wife, or reading something over a good cup of coffee. I value movement, reflection, and humor, and I bring those into my work in ways that feel supportive and human.
If you’re considering counseling, know this: you don’t have to have it all figured out to begin. I’d be honored to walk alongside you as you take that next step, whether that leads to us working together for years, me assisting you in finding the best fit elsewhere, or anything in between.
